RUG TUFTING
Increase revenue while seamlessly complementing your existing creative space
Why am I so excited about this unique craft?
As your marketing partner, I believe this new experience creates your competitive edge during inflationary times. While studio supply costs keep climbing, tufting materials remain stable and offer 60-85% margins. Plus, customers get immediate value: creating and enjoying their custom rug same-day. Pottery painting isn't going anywhere. You're giving customers (your raving, loyal fans!) more value while improving your bottom line and diversifying revenue streams.
What is rug tufting?
It's simply designing and making a rug by hand. Fabric is attached to a frame, a design is sketched on the fabric, and using a handheld tufting gun, yarn is punched through the back to create a completely personalized and custom rug. Think coloring book pottery meets textile design. When complete, the rug is cut to size, a backing applied and the top side of the rug is trimmed to remove excess yarn. It's ready to be taken home and enjoyed the same day, whether as a wall decor, tabletop covering or traditional rug use, on the floor.
Who is rug tufting?
Your current customers, in addition to craft enthusiasts, social crafters, students, couples, interior design and home decor enthusiasts and content creators, ages 16-45.
Why add rug tufting as another form of revenue?
The data supports that rug tufting has moved beyond just a trend to become an established, growing market with proven customer engagement and business success. It's a low barrier to entry: all supplies are accessible, and the process is easy to learn. Customers find the experience both relaxing and instantly rewarding - they love watching their design come to life. Tufting is a smart business decision and a natural evolution for creative studios. Tufting is an experience that perfectly complements your existing creative space.
